1. Terms and Conditions

1.1 Agreement

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Eva Lèon Couture website and the purchase or hire of dresses and services from Eva Lèon Couture. By accessing this website, booking a fitting, paying a deposit, hiring a dress, or purchasing a product, you agree to these terms.

1.2 Booking Agreement

A booking agreement is entered into between Eva Lèon Couture and the client when a deposit is paid or an appointment is booked.

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure a dress and fitting appointment. The deposit confirms the booking and covers administrative and preparation costs. The deposit will be deducted from the final balance if the booking proceeds.

Once a booking is confirmed, the dress and appointment time are reserved exclusively for the client.

Refunds or exchanges are not offered for change of mind, including:

  • changes in preference

  • changes in sizing

  • changes to event arrangements

  • choosing an alternative dress elsewhere

This applies to both hire and purchase dresses as permitted under Australian Consumer Law.

1.3 Dress Hire Terms

For hire bookings:

  • Cancellations more than 60 days before the event: deposit forfeited only.

  • Cancellations within 60 days of the event: 50% of the hire fee will be charged.

  • Cancellations within 30 days of the event: 100% of the hire fee will be charged.

These charges reflect the limited availability of dresses and the difficulty of rebooking cancelled dates.

Hire dresses must:

  • be returned on the agreed date

  • be returned in the agreed condition

  • not be altered or permanently modified

A security bond may be required and will be refunded following inspection.

Damage, excessive soiling, or late returns may result in deductions from the bond or additional charges.

1.4 Purchased Dresses

Purchased dresses are considered final sale.

Custom or made-to-order dresses cannot be refunded or exchanged for change of mind.

Alteration fees are non-refundable once work has commenced. Minor fitting adjustments are not considered faults.

1.5 Consumer Guarantees

All goods and services provided by Eva Lèon Couture come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

Customers are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund where:

  • a product has a major fault

  • the item is significantly different from what was agreed

  • services were not provided with due care and skill

Any faults must be reported within 48 hours of collection or purchase.

1.6 Event Cancellation

If an event is cancelled due to circumstances outside the client’s control (for example a school or venue cancellation), a store credit may be offered at the discretion of Eva Lèon Couture.

Credits:

  • are valid for 12 months

  • are not a refund under Australian Consumer Law

  • cannot be redeemed for cash
     

1.7 Website Use

Users must not misuse the website, attempt to access restricted areas, or use the website for unlawful purposes.

Eva Lèon Couture reserves the right to update these terms at any time.
